Proposed Development

The proposed development offers an ideal opportunity to deliver a high-quality, attractive and well-integrated new neighbourhood, forming a natural and local extension to Holme Lacy.

The development could deliver approximately 70 homes, over 1 hectare of public open space and a children’s playground, with convenient access to local facilities. Trees in the site boundary will be retained as much as possible for visual impact reduction, and the amenity of the nearby existing homes will be maintained.

 

At this stage in the design process, St Philips’ proposal would deliver approximately 70 homes, depending on the density, of which 35% would be affordable (as in line with Policy H1 Affordable Housing Thresholds and Targets of the current Core Strategy). The homes would comprise a range of types and sizes. A proposed layout is shown below.
